What a weekend! Great roads, great cars, great people – and even the weather played its part for our Nordy Weekend in the Valley.
We kicked things off on Friday night at Nicola’s Restaurant, where Deepak surprised Zahra with a birthday cake, before heading into the Ferguson Valley on Saturday. Highlights included Wellington Dam, Collie’s Three Mineworkers Mural, establishing our very own little AROCA WA settlement at Gnomesville – complete with a 4C – followed by lunch at Bush Shack Brewery and dinner at Silos.
Sunday took us from Bunbury’s Back Beach to Dardanup Bakery, around the southern end of Wellington Dam and on to Aidan’s property near Collie. A shed tour soon became two shed tours, after we popped next door to visit Gary’s shed, which included several Delta Integrales under restoration and a wonderfully quirky 1.5L twin-carb Alfa 33 wagon, which Joe and Deepak were only too happy to road-test!
We finished the weekend in convoy to Wokalup for lunch at Brugan Brewery.
Numbers came and went over the three days, but at our peak we had nine Alfas and 16 people enjoying the weekend together.
A terrific few days of driving, food, cars and good company. Thanks to everyone who came along and helped make it such an enjoyable weekend.
