Update from Club Vice President- Greg Smith

Dear Club Members,

I am really pleased to be able to let you know that there is a lot happening right now in preparation for the release of the  WA Alfa Club’s new website, which is coming soon.

For example, to check out a preview of how Alfa Occidentale will appear online on the new website, please take a look at filed copies of some of the 2023 Alfa Occidentale issues.  These are available right now for your viewing.

Please go to  this link:  Under news > Alfa Occidentale > Alfa Occidentale – Alfa Romeo Owners Club Australia – WA (alfaclubwa.org.au)   There, you should see a new layout for these magazine issues that has been designed to allow you to view Alfa Occidentale at high resolution page-by page.  When the website is launched, all past issues will appear this way.

Do note, however, that on the new website, the club committee has agreed to delay the online publication of the most recent issues of the magazine as they are always first circulated only to the current membership of AROCA WA.  The latest six issues of the club’s electronic magazine will be held back, eventually appearing on-line after a six month delay.

Eventually, issues of the WA Alfa Club’s previous magazine, ‘Al Volante’  will also appear on the website so that an historical record of the club, its current and past members, their cars, and their activities is available for everyone’s general viewing online.

I do want everyone to recognise that Aidan Daly has done a tremendous amount of great work to upgrade the club’s web and social media presence over the last year or so.

I, for one, am really looking forward to AROCA WA’s state of the art presence via this new website when it is launched this year.  I do hope that you are too!

With best regards,

Greg Smith

Secretary and Vice-President, AROCA WA.
